ughhhhh been debating whether or not to do this for a long time now, but what the heck? This is me being ridiculously vulnerable…BUT I’m just gonna do it..
I’m 5’6. My highest was 256 and currently I’m around 200. Since March I’ve lost nearly 60 pounds.
This entire year has been an incredible and life changing journey for me. It’s been ridiculously hard but even more so worth it. I don’t even know who the girl on the left was. What I do know though, is that I wasn’t living the life I was meant to. I was hiding, I was hurting and I was really close to giving up. But somewhere inside me I decided to fight. and I’m still fighting today.
I’ve got so much further to go. I still have such a long road. But seeing pictures like this remind me of how far I’ve already come. and how I’m still worth fighting for.
check it out, ya’ll! my stomach used to be an armrest! i decided to start taking care of myself in 2011, and it’s one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. :) haven’t looked back since! i love working on being the best person i can possibly be.
if you don’t think you can do it… well, you’re just being silly.

DIY Salad Guide! Learn the basics or mix up your current favorites with new options! Not all salads are created equal: if you’re not careful, they can be as high in calories as some fast food options (though nutritionally superior). The secret to a great, healthy salad is to maximize your greens and veggies while minimizing your add-ons (dressings, cheese, bacon, croutons, nuts etc.). As a rule of thumb, having a few healthy fats and toppings can be great, but should be limited to about 2-3 extras & about 3-5 tbsp maximum. Items like leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, watercress, onions and more: unlimited when it comes to salads. Load up! Healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, nuts, seeds and cheese are delicious, healthy choices, but can be high in calories if you add too much. Read labels, know your portion sizes, and experiment with different combos and flavors to keep things from getting boring! Tip: White vinegar, balsamic vinegar and lemon/lime/orange juice are low calorie, healthy ways to boost flavor without a huge calorie boost.
Mixing high-intensity cardio with oblique abs-targeting body weight exercises, this workout, when paired with healthy eating, will help you trim your waistline!
